Lessons on Andalusian Civilisation are being developed into a KS3 Programme of Study for schools. The scheme of work will highlight some of the great achievements in the Andalusian period of history. It reinforces the importance of community cohesion, conviviality and tolerance between individuals of different faith and cultures. The lessons are designed to raise aspirations of young people, build their self-esteem and help them to challenge stereotypes in the 21st century.
A number of researchers, teachers and academics are currently working on the Andalus KS3 scheme of work. Nasiha is looking for volunteers to support the development of the programme and if you have expertise in Andalus, planning and teaching KS3 History, or competent in illustratrating, we would like to hear from you.
